Our Approach

Advocacy & Policy

Engaging decision-makers for equitable, ambitious climate policy.

At Climate Action Nepal, we believe that meaningful climate action also requires informed public dialogue and supportive policies. We contribute to climate advocacy by publishing articles, blogs, reports and research outputs, participating in television discussions and public forums, engaging with media, and creating platforms for knowledge exchange. Through these efforts, we share evidence and experiences from the field, amplify community voices, and contribute to conversations that support more resilient communities and ecosystems.

Our projects create platforms for dialogue, collaboration and public engagement. The Budhi Rapti River Cleanup Campaign for example brought together community members, waste workers, local leaders, youth volunteers and other stakeholders to address plastic pollution through collective action. Beyond removing waste from the river corridor, the campaign served as a platform for raising public awareness on waste management, river conservation and biodiversity protection, demonstrating how even small scale community-led initiatives can strengthen healthier ecosystems and is a form of local advocacy. Similarly, for the World Environment Day 2026, Climate Action Nepal engaged with academia and the media to amplify youth voices and promote dialogue on climate action and sustainable development.

Through these engagements, Climate Action Nepal continues to promote advocacy and constructive engagement with stakeholders at different levels.
