🎓 Climate Education and Youth Leadership
During the national World Environment Day 2026 celebration, Climate Action Nepal used exhibitions, public dialogue, media engagement and research communication to present practical climate solutions and youth leadership to more than 400 visitors.
👩💼 Women's Economic Empowerment and Green Enterprises
A one-day practical training equipped 15 women with skills in scented candle production, product improvement, branding, packaging, marketing and small-enterprise development, linking climate-resilient livelihoods with Chitwan’s tourism economy.
⚡ Clean Energy and Just Energy Transition
Climate Action Nepal, with support from KAS Political Dialogue Asia, is advancing clean cooking solutions for families living around Chitwan National Park. Following an earlier distribution of 20 electric stoves to Bote community households, the project provided 20 additional infrared electric stoves on 22 June 2026, bringing total reach to 40 families.
♻️ Circular Economy and Waste Management
The Climate Responsive Community Based Waste Management Project promoted household-level waste segregation, composting and sustainable waste practices in Mahalaxmi Ward No. 1, Lalitpur, while strengthening the role of women waste workers. Through door-to-door counselling, community training and capacity building, the project reached 106 community members and trained 22 women waste workers.
♻️ Circular Economy and Waste Management
During a three-day Chitwan field engagement in February and March 2026, Climate Action worked with waste workers at the Safa Urja Material Recovery Facility to strengthen plastic identification, source segregation, circular-economy awareness and occupational health and safety.
🌱 Climate-smart Agriculture and Food Systems
During March 2026, Climate Action delivered participatory farmer-learning activities in Chitwan and Lalitpur that linked climate risks with practical responses: climate-smart production, water efficiency, soil restoration, local seed conservation and hands-on vermicomposting.
♻️ Circular Economy and Waste Management
On 30 April 2026, a multi-stakeholder river cleanup mobilised community members, local institutions, youth, students, informal waste workers and volunteers to remove plastic and other improperly disposed waste from the Budhi Rapti River corridor. The campaign combined direct environmental action with public education on river conservation, waste management and biodiversity protection.

A series of school-based programmes engaged 150+ students and teachers in understanding climate risks and turning climate knowledge into practical action for safer, cleaner and more resilient schools and communities.
