The Water for Wildlife initiative is introducing distinctive bottle-shaped metal collection bins in ecological and tourism hotspots where plastic waste can easily leak into wetlands, rivers, forests and wildlife habitats. The bins combine practical disposal infrastructure with highly visible environmental messaging.
Water for Wildlife is mobilizing communities to remove plastics and solid waste from riverbanks and waterways while connecting recovered materials with recycling and product value chains. The initiative treats clean water as essential for people, aquatic life and wildlife across connected ecosystems.
This ongoing initiative is expanding climate-friendly livelihood opportunities for women through practical production skills, eco-conscious product development and enterprise support. Scented candles and related eco-products serve as an accessible entry point for branding, packaging, marketing and women-led business development.
Climate Action Nepal is convening a policy dialogue and youth innovation forum with Kathmandu University to connect research, public policy and community experience. The platform is designed to showcase practical solutions, amplify youth leadership and strengthen collaboration on resilience, DRR, circular economy and sustainable development.
Climate Action Nepal is working with homestay operators to reduce the environmental footprint of local tourism while improving resilience and livelihood value. Training is linked with one practical eco-homestay pilot that demonstrates renewable energy, organic waste recovery and environmentally responsible guest services.

Building on Phase I, Climate Action Nepal is expanding access to clean electric cooking for vulnerable households living near forests and wildlife habitats in Western Chitwan. The project is supporting 40 additional households to shift away from fuelwood toward electric cooking powered by Nepal’s renewable hydropower system.
The Phase II school resilience programme is strengthening climate literacy and disaster preparedness through interactive, practical and student-centred learning. The initiative combines volunteer-led renovation, book support, library organization and Wi-Fi access to strengthen both traditional and digital learning opportunities.
This ongoing project supports smallholder farmers to improve soil health, manage agricultural residues responsibly and strengthen resilience to climate variability. Practical training combines vermicomposting, biochar, bio-briquette production, integrated pest management and reduced dependence on chemical inputs.
