Our story
About Climate Action Nepal
Climate Action Nepal (ClimAx) is a youth-led, non-profit organization committed to building a climate-resilient, low-carbon, and equitable Nepal through science-based solutions, community empowerment, and policy engagement.
We work at the intersection of climate change, disaster risk reduction, biodiversity conservation, clean energy, circular economy, and sustainable livelihoods to help communities adapt to a changing climate while protecting the environment.
Our approach combines research, innovation, capacity building, advocacy, and locally led action to deliver practical solutions that create lasting environmental, social, and economic benefits. By partnering with governments, development organizations, academia, civil society, and local communities, we transform climate challenges into opportunities for sustainable development.
From strengthening climate-smart agriculture and promoting clean energy to advancing climate education, waste management, ecosystem restoration, and climate justice, we are committed to empowering people and institutions to lead Nepal's transition toward a resilient and sustainable future.
